FAQ's
WHAT MAKES THESE COOKIES SO SPECIAL?
WHAT KIND OF SUGAR DO YOU USE?
Organic cane sugar, which is less refined than white sugar. It is light brown in color, which means it retains some more minerals and vitamins and doesn’t spike blood sugar as fast.
WHAT KIND OF FLOUR BLEND DO YOU USE?
We make our own flour blend using rice flour, almond meal and tapioca starch.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO REPLACE EGGS?
We use Organic flax seeds as our binder. We call it a flax “egg””: We use organic ground flax seeds and mix it with purified water. The texture mimics that of an egg! Try it in your recipes at home!
1 flax egg= 1 tbsp ground flax meal + 3 tbsp water
WHAT DO YOU USE TO REPLACE BUTTER?
We use organic coconut oil, which has special fats called medium chain triglycerides. It has been shown that breaking down these types of healthy fats in the liver leads to efficient burning of energy and less storing of fat.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS NON- GMO?
Yes! Our cookies are Non-GMO Verified. We don’t use any genetically modified ingredients in our products.
ORGANIC?
Our Cookie Bites are about 93% Organic. We strive to make our product 100% organic in the near future.
WHY ARE YOUR COOKIES HIGH IN FAT?
We use a comparable amount of “fat” to most other cookie companies. The different is we use coconut oil instead of butter or palm oil blends. It may be high in fat, but this type of fat (medium chain triglycerides) is broken down differently- instead of storing it in our liver, our bodies use a lot of it as energy. We need fat for fuel!
DO YOU USE XANTHAN GUM?
No! We use a small amount of guar bean gum instead, which is derived from an actual food versus bacterial fermentation.
ARE THERE ANY SOY PRODUCTS IN YOUR COOKIES?
Nope!
PALEO?
Nope!
NUT- FREE?
Nope! Almond meal is present in all flavors.
WHERE ARE YOUR COOKIES MADE?
We make all of our products at our Cookie Factory in Las Vegas, NV.
WHY DO YOU USE SUNFLOWER OIL?
We use less than 1% organic sunflower oil in our formulas because it contains a high amount of vitamin e, which is a natural antioxidant.
